Using the beauty of God’s word to create products that help women draw near to God and to each other.
Hola! My name is Rebecca and I’m the creator behind the Knots + Jots brand.
My passion for calligraphy and handlettering began in the tenth grade when my parents bought me my first calligraphy set. It wasn’t until my husband and I moved to Atlanta that I realized I might be able to use handlettering as a way to encourage others. After a heartfelt conversation with my husband, I began to pursue that dream. And after a bunch of brainstorming sessions with my sister, Knots + Jots slowly became a reality.
Knots + Jots became a way for me to help women see the beauty of God, the beauty of community, and encourage them to cultivate relationships with both in their own lives. So take a look around and hopefully you’ll find something that encourages you.
I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia. I’m a proud Latina (even though I’m just now learning Spanish). I’m happily married to my best friend (even though marriage can be uber frustrating at times). And I’m a grateful mamá to my Afro-Latina daughter (even though it means a lot of sleepless nights). And in case you were wondering “where I’m from,” the short answer is Florida. The long, round-a-bout answer you’re most likely looking for is: I’m Puerto Rican. I find (probably way too much) joy in trying new foods and eating good food — just ask my husband. And if you and I were to have an in-depth conversation, it would most likely be about faith, community, race relations, social justice, or food (all of which you can expect to read about on my blog).
